Weather of Delhi is considered to be extreme, both in summers as well as winters. As for weather, there are four seasons namely summers, autumn, rainy season and winters. All of them have their own significance here and people here are lively in all the seasons. There is something about this city that people do not mind standing on the road in hot summers too. Weather here depends upon the geographical locations. It lies between Himalayas and the aravalies, 225 m above the sea level.
Summers, a season when people experience most harshness as the temperature sometimes rises up till 45 degree C. dust storms, extreme pollution and suspended particulates in the air are most problematic things here. Dehydration and sunstrokes are quite common here. People are seen carrying umbrellas usually and we also get to see a lot of people who use cooling methods like putting an AC on, etc. this is just for some time as after summers, which last till the month of June, we have rains.
Monsoons are considered to be one of the most enjoyable, romantic and jolly season. It brings happiness to farmers, city people who have had a lot of problems because of summers and everyone else too. You get to see a very lively scene everywhere and everybody is passionate about doing their work. And of course you get to enjoy a little natural water shower. This is one time when you get back to your childhood days and enjoy everything.
After the monsoons, autumn knocks the door. After all the fun, its time for the dead leaves to shed out of their parent tree so that trees can once again get green. This season is quite intolerable as there is immense humidity because of the rains and heat also. People do not like this weather much and good news is that it doesn’t even last for long period of time. As soon as the autumn departs, winters come.
People in Delhi have mixed reaction about winters. Some people love it as it’s too much of cold because f which they get nice night sleep. Some don’t like it much as there is too much of laziness. As the winters too are extreme here, temperature decreases up to 4 degrees sometimes which gets really tough top handle. The cold waves blow from the Himalayan region and this is which, Delhi is chilled in winters. Maximum temperature that you can experience at this time is 12 degrees.
Spring time is considered to be the most enjoyable season and Delhi people welcome it with grace. There are loads of festivals in this season. It lasts till March end and the temperature lies between 10 degree C to 25 degree C. this is a tolerable temperature and it’s always pleasant in this season.
Though every climate is extreme in Delhi but once you visit it, you would fall in love with everything over here.
