B&B accommodation is getting more and more admirers around the world, who prefer warm unobtrusive attention, home-like environment, homemade breakfast, friendly attitude and profound knowledge about what to see and do even in the most remote place in the world. The Indian Government has promoted the concept in a big way with a view towards the Commonwealth Games 2010 that will be held in Delhi. For B&B owners, it may be a primary or secondary means of income besides the opportunity to interact with their guests.

Which B&B should I choose?
Each B&B home offers something unique – most B&B owners have provided detailed information and pictures of their B&B, please browse through the same to get the “feel of it”. Some may be peacefully situated on the outskirts, others may be convenient for city centres, some may be more suited to families, while others offer superior accommodation for couples treating themselves to a weekend break. You can also find reviews and ratings of the B&B that have been provided by previous guests.

The owner of the B&B directly provides all information about B&B accommodations on BnB4Delhi.com. We aim to keep all contact details up-to-date and accurate and have a checking mechanism for information provided by a B&B.
How can I contact the bed and breakfast I like?
The easiest way to send your Enquiry/Booking to the B&B is by using the Book/Enquiry link available on the respective B&B page. Such enquiries go directly to the B&B owners and they usually respond back within 24 hours. We also publish the landline and mobile numbers of the B&B owners so that you can give them a call. A lot of B&B also provide links to their official website.
Do I need to book ahead?
Most of the B&B accommodations are private homes with 2-4 bedrooms – we would not suggest that you leave it too late to book. December and January are notoriously busy months and it may be essential to book ahead. You can also get attractive discounts from some B&B for booking in advance.
Please note that many B&B will not accept one-night bookings at weekends and peak periods.
Is the B&B suitable for the disabled?
There are quite a few B&B that have special facilities for the disabled. You can use the Advanced Search option on our website to search for such B&B. However, we would also advise that you check with your hosts regarding the same.
When should I arrive?
All B&B have provided their standard Check-In Time on their B&B page. When you make a booking you will also be asked to give your expected arrival time. If you are delayed, please do telephone and advise your host or they have may re-book the room! Most hosts expect you to arrive between 1100-1500 hours.
When should I depart?

The majority of homes will allow all day access for guests staying more than one night but please check with homes and do remember that you are in a private home and not a hotel.
What about the bathroom facilities?
Bathrooms are either shared, ensuite or private and are listed on the individual B&B page. If you have a particular preference please enquire at the time of booking.
En-Suite bathrooms are those where a bath/shower room has direct access from the bedroom.
Private Bathrooms mean a bath/shower room exclusively for the use of one bedroom but located on the landing nearby.
A Shared bath/shower room is one that is shared with other guests and (very occasionally) with the host family. Such rooms have very low rentals.
What about the furnishing and facilities?
Most B&B provide unsurpassed comfort and all necessary amenities. It is very common nowadays to find a B&B with luxurious furnishing of original antiques (remarkably restored and comfy) and WI-FI internet facilities, satellite television, etc. Of course in general furnishing and facilities vary according to the bed and breakfast rating. B&B owners aim to offer the best possible quality they can as well as the best possible personal attention.
Are children welcome?
Many B&B have special rates for children, particularly if a family room is available. You will find that some B&B are more suitable for children than others – please read the description for each home. If a cot or highchair is needed please ask at the time of booking.
What does the Category rating mean?
Under the Incredible India Bed & Breakfats scheme, all B&B have been classified by the Govt. of India in certain Categories. Gold Category is more luxurious and generally more expensive than Silver category.
Howe do I cancel a booking?
All B&B have their respective Cancellation Policy, which is stated on the B&B page. We would still advise you to confirm the same with the B&B owner. Please remember a booking is a contract under Indian law, and if you cancel you may lose your deposit.
The host will try to relet the room, but if they are unable to do so you are liable to pay, possibly the total cost. If you do need to cancel, do so as far in advance as possible in order to give the host the best chance to relet the room.
Anything else that I should need to know?
Your B&B hosts are there to help you with any of your queries. They are quite used to it. Almost all the hosts have details of local attractions and places of interest to help you enjoy your stay. Many offer extra services, such as a doctor-on-call or a pick up service from the nearest railway or bus station or airport.
At the end of the day, you should remember that you are staying in a family home and enjoying its benefits. Every home is different and provides a unique experience. All homes have different ways of doing things and that is the pleasure of staying in a home rather than a hotel. Please do not forget however, that unlike a hotel, there may not be any employed staff on call 24 hours a day, and if you arrive unexpectedly your host may have gone out.
