India is proud to feature the upcoming event, commonwealth games in the year 2010. this event is one of the greatest event that has happened in India and the entire world is very exited about it. The whole condition of Delhi has changed ever since It has been finalized that commonwealth games would be held in new Delhi. We can see the better transportation facilities, infrastructure, and modernization in every section of Delhi. Commonwealth games which would include almost 5000 athletes, is unique.
This event would be featuring 17 sports which would include table tennis, tennis, swimming, etc. the government of India is making sure that the concerned sports grounds are in their best condition possible and all the equipments are of the best quality. In fact, the security is also taken care of with great intelligence. As a huge number of tourists are expected to visit India during commonwealth games, transport facilities have been improved by introducing low floor AC and non AC buses, metro, etc. for the foreigners, English speaking drivers have been employed so that they do not have any traveling problems. in the areas like agra, jaipur, etc which are the main tourist spots of India, government is training 1000 drivers a months for an English speaking course.
Commonwealth games would be the biggest multi sport event that India would be organizing for the very for the time and so everything is planned and tidy. A success of commonwealth would also increase India’s bid for Olympics 2006. this exclusive event is organized by CGF. Venues of this event are Yamuna Sports Complex; Badminton and Squash at Cluster I: Siri Fort Sports Complex; Hockey and Archery Finals (India Gate) at Cluster II: Talkatora Garden Complex MDC National Stadium Complex; and Swimming and Boxing at Cluster III: Indira Gandhi Sports Complex; Archery (Qualification Rounds) and Table Tennis at Cluster IV. Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex; Cycling, Gymnastics and Wrestling at Cluster V.
In this event, as many as 71 countries are taking part which in itself is a huge celebration. In total, 71 teams would be glorifying this event. All the sports persons would be given a free trip to taj mahal and also their health facilities, accommodation, etc are taken care of. All the street beggars are removed from the streets for the convenience of participants. They have either been sent back to their residence or have been given shelter by the government.
